WHEN RETURNING KITTY TO OWNER
To make sure kitty is returned to it's real owner, we suggest to make sure you are being provided with a detailed description of kitty, copy of medical records, some unique behavior, photo of kitty and/or any similar information that makes you feel confident that you are dealing with rightful owner.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE PUTTING LOST
KITTY IN SHELTER
If you find that you cannot locate owner if at all possible adopt the kitty. Only 2% to 5% of the kitties get adopted from shelters. Also, many shelters after keeping a kitty for a week or two have the kitty put to sleep. An alarming 70% of kitties placed in shelters get to be put to sleep. If you must put kitty in Shelter, place it in a shelter where it has the best chance of survival or adoption. Ask what happens to kitty once it is left there.
Before declawing a cat consider this
Declawing indeed does hurt cats. Perhaps it is because anesthetics are used during the procedure that the myth has grown that declawing does not hurt . During this procedure each of the cat's front toes at the front joint are cut off -- cutting through the bone!
